Progress

We have progress.  As of July 5th the following things have happened:
-our old basement has been removed,
-a crawlspace was added,
-walls were pored,
-Steve and I tared the walls on a 98 degree day,
-back filled around new basement,
-have sewer and water hooked up.

Today they are removing all the excess dirt and working on putting in the basement floor.  They think by early next week they will start framing. We have one sticky issue that needs to be resolved.  We kept the garage so we would not have to loose its location ( right on property line), but we are adding onto it so they need to figure out how to add the additional flooring without accidentally knocking down the building.

We have several decision to make and they are not as easy as I thought they would be.  There must be 100s of different types of flooring to choose from, kitchen cabinets are crazy expensive, and who knew that picking out molding could make you want to live in a tent along the river.

All in all we really are excited and very glad that we are sooooo close to the building site (across street) that we can see what is going on most days.
